I found all of the steps necessary to my cataract surgery to be handled with efficiency and friendliness. The wait times were always well within the “more than acceptable” range and Dr. Thurber has always made me feel comfortable which is not easily done as I am a naturally anxious
person. I cannot think of any aspect of my experience which could have been better.

I have been going to Dr. Thurber for at least 20 years. This is the first time I had to wait so long. When I finally got to see him, he looked at my eyes (10 seconds) and said I was good and dismissed me. I do love the receptionist. She is always so polite. I think too many people are booked and he gets behind. (my opinion only). Other patients were talking about the same problem. A long wait. First in the waiting room and then in a smaller room. A lady came all the way from Ocean Springs. Doesn’t he have an office there?

My husband had an appointment in Metairie and the weather was horrible. After his appointment, we encountered traffic accidents all the way home. Afraid I’d be late for my appointment, my husband said we’d grab something to eat along the way and just head back to Cedar Lake. We arrived an hour early and the staff worked me right in anyway and I was out by the time of my actual appointment. I never saw anything but smiles from the staff to the doctor and received my ‘as always’ excellent care. I totally would recommend The Center for Eye Care for service as well as excellent eye care.
